If you are visiting Saigon for the first time, you will not miss Le Thanh Ton. It is labeled as the central district because you can find the City Hall here, the big malls, the expensive shops like Louis Vuitton and Chanel and many five star hotels. It is also the link to Nguyen Hue Street, a long street from the Ho Chi Minh City Hall to the Saigon River.
This is a very good place to experience the modern version of the Vietnamese rolls, served with the traditional fish sauce and the modern peanut sauce, with white, soft vermicelli on the side and rich servings of green leafy vegetables. It is nice to experiment wrapping either the fresh or fried rolls with the leafy veggies before dipping them on the sauce, Korean style.
Their fruit smoothies are also very refreshing.
